The Saturday before Christmas can be one of the busiest days of the year—full of errands, gatherings, and holiday preparations. In the midst of that hurriedness, Messiah will hold the sanctuary open for an Advent Quiet Day. This will be a come-and-go block of time for people who might need a few moments to escape to a quiet and prayerful space.

Drop in anytime between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on December 20th, even if you’re just passing through between the grocery store, shopping, or holiday tasks. Stay for a few minutes, or linger longer if you wish. No expectations. No schedule. Just quiet.

A small table of self-guided prayer practices will be available as you enter. You’re welcome to try one of these prayer forms out and carry them into the sanctuary, or you can simply meditate and pray however you want.

The pastor will also be in his office the entire time and available for anyone who wants to step in for conversation, prayer, or private confession.

Come and go as you are able. Step out of the rush. Receive a moment of peace before the holy days arrive.
